On behalf of the Indian Stroke Association I warmly welcome you to INSC 2018, the 12th Annual meeting of the Indian Stroke Association being held from 16th - 18th March 2018 in New Delhi, India.
INSC (Indian National Stroke Conference) is the official annual meeting of the Indian Stroke Association and is the largest Stroke meeting held in India.
Stroke is amongst the top leading causes of death and disability with 17 million Strokes occurring globally per year. Of these 6.5 million will die and and 5 million per year will remain with permanent disability. The incidence and mortality of Stroke is reducing in the Higher Income countries but increasing in the low and middle Income countries due to a double whammy of poor preventive strategies as well as poor resources for management.
We have invited experts from across the world as well as experts from all over India to provide a cutting edge educational and scientific experience focusing on all aspects of Stroke management with particular focus on recent advances in reperfusion therapy, Acute Stroke management and Rehabilitation and advances in Preventive strategies. We have included sessions on 'Dilemma's in Stroke management' in an attempt to provide management pathways to the clinician in situations where clear cut management strategies are not well defined.
Please Join us at the INSC 2018 in March 2018 in New Delhi and strengthen the mission of the Indian Stroke Association to reduce the burden of stroke in India and the world.
The meeting will be held at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Bhikaiji Cama Place, Ring Road, New Delhi. The national capital is known for its cosmopolitan character, and cultural diversity and is well connected by air, rail, and road.
I look forward to meeting you at the Conference.
With Warm Regards
Dr. Vinit Suri
It gives us immense pleasure to welcome you to Bengaluru for the 22nd Annual Conference of Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India between 7th and 10th January 2016 (Thursday to Sunday). Senior members will remember POSICON in the year 2000 at Bengaluru organised by Dr Sundaresh. Fifteen years hence, Bangalore is now Bengaluru but the essential character of the city and its residents remain unchanged – a cool climate coupled with warm hospitality. We are especially fortunate this year to host the biennial joint conference with Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
Musculoskeletal Infection in Childhood and its sequelae continue to pose significant diagnostic and treatment challenges. A galaxy of experts from India and around the world will provide latest guidelines for management, be it acute infection, chronic osteomyelitis or growth arrest in the longer term. In addition to the main conference theme, we will have experts discussing, debating and lecturing on all the common paediatric orthopaedic conditions including DDH, Perthes disease, SCFE, CP and trauma.
The POSI pre-conference workshops have been designed to cater to entire spectrum of professional engagement with paediatric orthopaedics. The PG Teaching Course will deliver the curriculum in a series of power-packed lectures from the Gurus of Paediatric Orthopaedics. The Paediatric Trauma workshop is meant for the general orthopaedic surgeon including practical workshops on common techniques. The CP and Upper Limb workshops will interest the generalist and specialist paedipods.
Of course, we have saved the best for last. Our post-conference workshop is a hands-on cadaveric course on complex surgeries around the hip – a First for India. Organised at M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, we are sure that this unique opportunity will be of relevance to every paediatric orthopaedic surgeon, regardless of experience. Places are limited, so please register early.
Whilst we are busy with the conference, let us not forget our spouses who have contributed much to our professional success. We will have attractive packages for the families to visit nearby places of interest. Our venue is ideally located for shopping during the day and for sampling cuisine from across the world in the evenings. Do bring your family along and make it truly memorable trip.
It only remains for us to extend a warm welcome to Bengaluru in January 2016. You are guaranteed high-quality learning and a good time!!
